Hi! Thank you for stopping by! I am Tara, I know big shocker, right?! I was an extremely shy kid growing up, most people that know me now would laugh at that thought, but writing an "about me" page makes me feel like that shy kid on the first day of school again, but i'm going to give it the good ole' college try! :)
I am 37 years old-eek!!! Gosh that sounds old! I am a born and raised Springfieldian. WOOT WOOT! I have three sisters, and growing up my mom drove a BIG Van with the license plate "NO BOYZ!" I have been married to my childhood sweetheart, John, for almost 14 years, but have been together well over half our life already. Yes, we are one of those sappy love stories- we lived down the street from each other, and at the ripe old age of 14, we started "going out" and have never looked back! MY HUSBAND IS ONE OF NINE CHILDREN, SO I JOINED A BIG WONDERFUL FAMILY THAT IS JUST AS LOUD AND CRAZY AS MY OWN! We have three children: Lennon, Norah, and Harrison (AKA: HARRY) - yes we love the Beatles....and Norah Jones :) We also are the proud new owners of a Goldendoodle named Bingham, named after one of our favorite singers Ryan Bingham.
WE LOVE TO TRAVEL, ESPECIALLY TO KAUAII ONE OF OUR FAVORITE PLACES TO VISIT! And if we get a chance to sneak away...we often try to hit up some great concerts! WE SPEND ALOT of our TIME RUNNING THE KIDS AROUND TOWN TO ALL OF THEIR EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES. with three kids, it makes for very busy weeks, and We are at a constant tug of war with wanting our children to be involved in things, but not TOO INVOLVED in things, that we lose our sense of OHANA. Dinners at home around the kitchen table "unplugged" are one of our #1 priorities.

Coffee? What Coffee? I am not a coffee drinker....or a tea drinker or a hot chocolate drinker either...sooooo...let's just say... I am not a "HOT" drink kind of gal....although my husband drinks enough CUSTOM CUP coffee for the both of us! I am however a smoothie addict- i love me a good healthy strawberry smoothie! i do not like to cook, but my husband is always sharing food recipes with me, in hopes that one day i will become a better cook ;) i use {!} way too much, but i just love to show excitement in my emails!!!!! my guilty pleasure is shopping at anthropologie and buying photography props! and...i love people and i am a hugger so watch out!!!!

My photography has been one the best thing about my life. i pinch myself everyday that i get to do something that i love, and that brings such happiness to people every!single!day! (I told you i love {!!!}. my goal as a photographer is to capture real timeless photographs that can be looked at 10...50...100 years down the road and feel like you, or your children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren are part of that special moment.
my goal is to capture families just being. I want to capture All the moments: the quiet ones, the loud ones, the snuggly ones, the belly laughing ones...and all those moments in between! my sessions are fun and effortless for families! Those raw and real moments are captured when you take out the "sit still and be quiet and sit perfectly," and instead just BE! just BE...while holding hands. just be...while snuggling, just be... while smooshing together, Just be...while having fun, and just be....just being together as a family. Those raw beautiful moments always emerge, and i am just the lucky one that gets to be there to capture it for you.
